Advanced Micro Devices expands its share buyback program by $6 billion

Advanced Micro Devices has expanded its share buyback program by $6 billion, it said in a statement. At the end of the first fiscal quarter (March 29), approximately $4 billion remained unselected under the program.

Last financial quarter, the company repurchased 7 million shares worth $749 million. In total, about 1.62 billion AMD shares are in circulation. The quotes of the chipmaker‘s securities are growing by 5.9% during trading on Wednesday.
